Make note of dates for exams, and use the time to start studying. This is a great way to ensure you're always prepared for midterms, finals, and pop quizzes.

Review What You Just Learned

Take the time after class to sit go over your notes (assuming you took some), and review powerpoints. Read the corresponding chapter in the textbook, and

Use your free time to get chores out of the way

Seriously do not let it be the third time you wear that unwashed hoodie. One of the best times to get laundry done is in the middle of the day when everyone else is out and about. Head back to the dorms, grab all those dirty clothes, and head straight to the laundry area. Who knows you might actually like wearing clean clothes for a change.

Is there something from your lecture you're just not understanding? Need help with an assignment? That's what office hours are there for. Almost all professors have office hours, and if your professor isn't available you can always check in with a teaching assistant (T.A). Times for office hours are usually listed on the syllabus.

Speak To An Advisor

It's always good to check in with a your college advisor from time to time. Colleges sometimes change requirements for degrees, and speaking to an advisor is great way to keep updated on your progress. An advisor will also be able to tell you about new scholarships, or opportunities on campus you can take advantage of.

Take A Nap

Naps are not for the lazy and uninspired. Napping actually has its benefits such as increasing alertness, and minimizing the chances of making mistakes. To get the most benefits try to nap for about 20-30 minutes. Anything over that and you might wake up feeling like you're in an alternate universe.
