Makeup Tips for Women Who Wear Glasses

As makeup lover who wears glasses, I'm always looking for options to dress up my frames. Although I love wearing glasses, I've had to make a few adjustments to my makeup routine since getting them. For one thing I had to learn to tone down some of the more dramatic looks I always did on my eyes, and instead bring attention to other areas of my face. Here are some great tips for all my makeup loving glasses wearing beauties.

Bold Brows

Bold brows are great for drawing attention to the eyes.

Bold brows are definitely in, and are a perfect option for makeup lovers who wear smaller frames. Adding a little definition to your eyebrows will do wonders for your overall. You can make your brows stand out by filling them in with a brow pomade and angled liner brush. This is one of the easiest methods, and allows you to control how defined your brows appear. It also helps to have your brow shaped to match your frames by either waxing or threading, it creates an arch that you can then easily define.

Don't Forget Your Cheeks

Use a blush and highlighter to brighten your look

Adding blush and highlighter to your cheeks will add radiance to your look. This is especially important because depending on your frames, your glasses may create shadows which may cause a drag on your face. Adding blush and highlighter will help your face appear brighter, perfect for Spring/ Summer.

Rock a Cat Eye

Cat eye liner can be worn at anytime of day

Cat eye liner looks amazing on glasses wearers. The cat eye look is always in, and unlike other styles of eye liner it brings attention to your eyes without looking overdone. It's my go to look, and it can be worn at anytime of the day, just about everywhere. One rule for glasses wearers when it comes to rocking a cat eye, is to match your frame. For frames that are thick, draw a thicker line, while for thin frames, draw a thin line. To help your eyes really pop, use an eye lash curler to curl lashes or apply a volumizing mascara.

Bold Lips

Another go to look of mine is a bold lip. Your lips are basically the only place you're allowed to go all out. Bright bold pinks, purples and orange tones are perfect for Spring. Bold lip colors are also a great look for a night out, and adding a bold lip will transition just about any look.

Always Complement Your Frames

Whatever look you decide to go with always complement your frames. Don't choose colors that will clash with your frames, and always keep in mind how the thickness of your frame affects how you shape your brows and your liner. Your frames are clearly an important part of your look.
